At NSW Stoma, we understand that being an ostomate can be hard and sometimes frustrating, especially if you feel like you’re alone.
We want you to know that you are not alone, and that we are here to support you. Many people go through the same daily struggles.
Speaking up about your experience (the good and the bad) is a great way to start an open dialogue about life with a stoma. By sharing our #stomastories, we feel more seen, heard, and understood – and less alone.
We are committed to fostering a sense of community among our members, and sharing our stories is just one way we do that.
We hope you enjoy the stories below, and we encourage you to think about sharing your own – you never know who your story might inspire!
